Effective SEO Outsourcing

Outsourcing of SEO tasks only makes sense. You can’t afford to keep an SEO expert on your payroll, and in reality its not something that you require every day unless you develop sites. Having a company on retainer that you can turn to, who turns out a good product, who has a great record and who knows what they are doing when it comes to search engine optimization only makes sense.

Outsourcing keeps costs down, and keeps your site on the top of the heap when it comes to search engine rankings.

Many companies seem to invest an incredible amount of money into outsourcing, and don’t get any real return.
Chances are they based their SEO selection on someone who many have “seemed” knowledgable or like they knew what they were doing.

To get the right SEO company for your needs there are a few things you need to look at.

Many companies tend to forget that search engines will change their technologies, and redefine their methods of searching, and don’t plan on this. If you outsource your SEO make sure that they offer ongoing SEO maintenance to your company for anything that they do for you.

Be descriptive with the company that you select for your SEO. make sure they know the nature of your business and understand the model you have in mind.  Give them examples of websites that are things you want to offer your customers. Give them also examples of things that you don’t want.

A really good SEO company is going to ask you about the look and feel of the site, and what kind of business model you’re shooting for.

Make sure that your SEO company doesn’t use your doorway page as a keyword dense method of grabbing search engine traffic. If they do, then look at their methods closely. This could backfire.  It no longer works as it once did and you might be banned from being search engine indexes in the near future.

Ethical considerations are a very important means of selecting your new SEO company. There are multiple unethical methods of selling their own services as well as optimizing your pages. Make sure when you select a company for their SEO outsourcing, that they work well with your business ethics. If they sell themselves in an unethical way, by putting down other companies, or in the way they do business, you might want to think twice.

The best way to do that is to ask a lot of questions about how they perform their SEO tasks. Check some references and search the internet for comments or articles about the company you’re interested in. If they don’t have a good portfolio of a few larger and a few smaller companies.. move on..
